Ard Black Cat is IHR fully approved

Ard Black Cat competed with Richard as a young horse with tremendous success both showjumping and eventing after being a top 3 year old loose jumping performer by winning both RDS Dublin Horse Show and Millstreet Young Irelander finals. As a four year old he won the Champion Green Hunter at the RDS. As a five and six year old he showjumped and earned 93 S.J.A.I. Points, and during his six year old year he evented and went to Intermediate level in just five outings. He was performance tested and approved with the Irish Horse Board. He was then sold to Australia but is now back in Ireland, still owned by Pat and Ian Mouser who are in Ireland too.

While in Australia Ard Black Cat proved himself as a grand Prix level show jumper and Advanced Eventer. He showjump at top level, which included wins in numerous World Cup shows at 1.50m level. He sustained an injury infront, looks sound again but we will have to see.

His sire, ARD ALLEZ CAT (XX) was the only thoroughbred stallion that showjumped at International level in either Great Britain or Ireland during his life. He had a marvelous temperament and at seven yrs achieved A grade and finished 6th in the National AB championships, Millstreet International Show, won the Leinster League Dressage Championships and also evented successfully.

Ard Black Cat’s dam ARD BECAUSE (ISH) is by the legendarry CLOVER HILL, out of a mare by the famous CHOW CHIN CHOW who sired, amongst others CHOUMAN ridden by Nelson Pessoa.
