Details;  Ard Abbervail is an Irish Sport Horse. Inspected by the Irish Horse Board this year 2002 to enable breeders to use him. He is owned jointly by the owner of Abbervail Dream, Mr Robert Verburgt and ourselves.

Ard Abbervail himself is a very good mover, loose with great use of his shoulder. To go with that he shows loads of jumping ability. We have started his schooling and we intend to produce him and give him every chance to follow in the hoof steps of his brother. He just competed in two loose jumping competitions and was 1st and 5th. His main start we will be as a four year old, giving him a better chance to grow.

Dam; Killea Beauty

One of Irelands best broodmares who has produced a number of jumpers, most notably the International showjumper Abbervail Dream. She has produced other progeny by Cruising, Chairlift, Rocky Balboa, Animo and Clover Hill, all with their various successes. For many years it was believed that she was sired by Smooth Stepper, but blood results taken ,due to the breeders information, certainty confirmed her sire to be the well known and successful sire Leabeg. Leabeg was known for breeding good riding type horses of whom many were exported from Ireland. They were predominantly chestnut and had very 'rideable' temperaments with good jumping ability. Killea Beauty has a lovely pedigree, containing the successful TB sires; Frenchwood, Middle temple and Prefairy.

Granddam: Miss Murphy II

This mare bred two showjumpers which reached International level, both produced by Menell Watson. (more on these when we find out).
